Working From Home! My Plans to get more business.

Has you can tell, I'm once again selling Avon.  I love the products, and this will make my third try to actually make money selling.  My idea for my new blog, is to follow my hopeful success and share tips that get me to my goals.  I see others doing it!  So why can't it be me?

Yes, I've been, well I wouldn't say unsuccessful.  I always had sales, I found people who would buy, but my issue came from growing my business.  So I have searched, read, joined groups and went searching on how I can do it this time and grow.

Now, I know it can be done.  I haven't started as of yet, my online store is up and anyone can buy from it.  However, my first campaign doesn't start till Oct. 11, which for me will be Camp 23.  So what have I been doing since signing up? Research, and tons of it.  Looking for ideas and tips on how to get my sales levels up.  Listening to what has helped, and has not, for other reps.  I can see where I failed before, I know the mistakes I made now.

What has caught my eye?  Here is a few tips I'm going to start off with.  No worries if they suck, I'll certainly let you all know, as I work my way towards my goals.

First tip I found, for online sales, is get a blog, facebook, twitter, ect.  A place to share about Avon, not only the sales, but my own experience.

Step one, bringing back a blog.  Years ago I had a pretty successful, Stay at Home mom blog.  Shared creative ideas for rainy days, and did several giveaways for products.  Everything from business cards, cloth diapers, to books.  I really enjoyed doing it, so of course I plan on holding several giveaways both on my blog and facebook page.

Just a few other tips, I've read, and plan on doing in some form or another to start.

~ Vendor, sat up as a vendor for community gatherings
~ Tossing, This one I'm back and forth on.  I do plan on leaving books wherever
    I go.  Actually going to peoples home and leaving them at the door, I'll decide
    after reading up on local laws with soliciting.
~ Give out at least 3 books a day.  Also, get contact info for the people you give
    brochures too.  Follow up before you put in your order.
~ Advertise! Advertise! Advertise! The first thing I did was hop over to vista print
   and ordered up some business cards, followed by ordering a car magnet to advertise
   my business.  
~ Host Open House or Grand Opening.
~ Get friends to host home parties.  Get creative with them.  Do makeovers, Do a Spa
    night, soaking feet in cheap tubs from the dollar tree, using foot works.  Let them
    get a feel for the product.
~ Leave books in five new places each campaign
~ Increase your brochures you order by at least 10 each campaign.
~ Get to know your product!  How can you recommend if you have no idea what
    your product actually does.

Mascara Mascara Mascara! Did I say Mascara...

Let me start by saying, I'm one of those girls.  I do not (ok well try not too) leave my house without tossing on a little mascara.  This all started years ago, while in Cosmetology school, one of the questions we had was: Name a product a women should never leave without putting on?

Did you guess the answer? Yep Mascara.  So ever since through the years (and I no longer work as cosmetologist, in case you're curious) I've tried to keep that in mind.  Being blond, light skin, I can certainly see why that would be.  Maybe, its not so true with someone with dark, long, gorgeous lashes.  For me however, I need it so not to look like the walking dead.

I've used every type of mascara out there (maybe I'm exaggerating, but I've tried a lot, especially if it says lengthens, thicker, you know what I lack with my real eye lashes).  I have found my new favorite and of course I plan on sharing here.

Just a quick add here, this mascara cost half what I'm use to paying, yes half.  Yet it still delivers beyond what I'm use to getting.  So, what is this miracle mascara?

It comes with the most amazing, easy to use brush, I've ever seen with mascara.  It tilts so you can adjust it to get that perfect look (I put mine on about a 45 degree angle).

my lashes are short, blond and practically invisible without any help.  This was just one quick base to tip over the lashes, ready to run to the store look.  If you want to be more dramatic add a couple of coats, or grab the glimmerstick and put on a thick line of eyeliner (try using a color liner to add a little drama to your look, and no, it's not just for the younger generation).

I plan on adding a video of me putting it on, so you can see the transformation from dead, to bright eyed.  However, I couldn't wait to share the results and the quickest way was a post today.
